Anyone have or had one or both of these?
Both are around the £500 mark...but very different ovens

Ooni Pro

In the standard STW way I'll happily recommend what we've got; the Ooni Pro (though I think we got it via a Kickstarter program as it was discounted / cheaper than the current RRP)

It's ace. I either make my own dough or we found a decent frozen dough that's not full of salt and can be defrosted in the microwave in 60 second. With a couple of peels it's about 15 minutes from lighting to eating to cook decent pizzas for our family of four. I've cooked flat-breads, seafood (a mean lobster) and meat in it too. It gets used pretty much every weekend during the warmer months. Doesn't use a lot of pellets and I've cooked on charcoal and gas in it too (using various attachments).

It's not small. The legs and chimney fold / come off that make it easier to store, and we've the cover for it but it takes up a chunk of space in the shed. It's significantly heavier and bigger than the previous / 'standard' version.

Not sure what else to say about it really...

Waitrose. Where else! 🙂

Keeping a few boxes in the freezer has rescued us a good few times over the summer - easy and quick way of knocking up a dinner for us+friends at the last minute...

I'll also recommend what I've got, or at least one that looks very similar;
Linky
Had it about 3 years now and it's fantastic, cooks a 12" ish pizza in under 2 mins, we've had parties where we've made 30-40 pizzas in succession. Holds the heat well afterwards and often chuck a leg of lamb or big joint of beef in to cook in the residual heat.

That dough looks handy, we've not had much success freezing leftover dough.

have a uuni or ooni or whatever they are calling themselves now. Use the gas conversion much easier to cook with. Next purchase will be a Roccbox https://www.gozney.com/uk/products/home-ovens/roccbox/

There is a new oven from Ooni just out that is gas only tho https://uk.ooni.com/products/ooni-koda a tad similar to the Roccbox

i saw the new ooni gas offering yesterday on the net and have to say i’m interested. It looks much smaller and tbh a lot less faff so i’ll keep an eye out in coming months.

Spurred on by this thread I've actually unboxed the Ooni 3 I got for xmas. Went and bought some of the aforementioned dough from Waitrose and my two girls made their own pizza.

First one could have done with another 20 seconds but second one was ace frankly - might look at the gas burner option as I've got a load of gas that I prob won't use otherwise.

I'm a convert 🙂

That dough's not bad is it? it's not full of crap additives or lots of salt either.

Our two girls make their own too (well, they stretch them and top them) - although sometimes we do the dough making together earlier in the day, sometimes it's just a case opf using that dough.

Have a look at Weber kettle BBQ with a pizza oven ring, cheaper and you get a BBQ too.

200 quid for the BBQ, pizza bit below

Make it yourself.

A gym ball at €10, wood pallet, concrete, vermiculite, few bricks. And you tube.

Took about 10 days as you need to dry it slowly to avoid cracks.

Yes the frozen dough from Waitrose is pretty good and perfect for our first test.

That said, I already had a bag of 00 flour and some yeast I've just made a batch of 10 dough balls and frozen them for future use.

I'm not familiar with Stadler Made but I own Ooni 3 that is wood-fired too. No complaints.
Easy assembling, nice and strong legs, ergonomic design. You can take a sneak-a-peak on a uuni pizza oven review if you want to compare.
The only flaw for me is that its outer surface overheats very fast and it's impossible to even touch it so you have to count it. In everything else I'm more than satisfied.
