Anyone recommend any wood burner installers in and around the Inverness area? no chimney so would be looking at a flu up through the ceiling, through a built in wardrobe upstairs and out through the roof (possible chance of out through the wall and up the side/back)

Any recommendations on installers?

Probbaly too far out your area - but Speyside Stoves in Keith are tied quite closely to Speyside installers (can't recall their trade name).

The installers were pretty good for us (in Elgin). Looks like Speyside Stoves might now be in Huntly..

But you could / should be able to find someone nearer, for sure.

We also looked at Donside Heating but they're even further away..

Not terribly close to you but we used Stirling Stove Centre and were happy with them. We didn't have a chimney either. When I was talking to them last week they were talking about a trip to Barra for the week to do a bunch of fittings and chimney sweeps so I am sure they'll do you in Inverness.

Anyone used tandtfireinstallations from Drumnadrochit? Also Cairngorm Stove centre in Grantown on Spey?

nothing useful to add, but I'm interested in any recommendations that come up as I'll be likely looking for a similar thing in a year or so.

Thanks for the recommendations chaps. I'm currently booked until chrimbo and the diary is filling up quickly. I spoke to two of the local shops (good ones) yesterday and they are much the same.
You may get someone at much shorter notice but beware, there is some criminal work going on out there.

If the wait is not too much for you then give me a shout and I can come for a look or give you a ball park figure based on what you describe. I've priced/done a couple of similar chimney installs recently so should be easy enough.

Mangoridebike, enquire in July/August not October 😉

These guys are in Edinburgh and Inverness, were very helpful on repairs that I needed for my stoves but can say much more I'm afraid.
