You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I have created a WIX website and have the app on my phone that tells me when a person is on the site but I can't see any where that gives me any proper stats about how many people visited over which time period and where they came from.
This is all readily available on my YouTube channel and are very useful to see if everyone is coming over from stuff I post on STW or things I do on Facebook. I would hate to be accused of using sites like this to promote my shit but without knowing what promotion works and where toi aim it I end up using a scattergun approach.
Does Wix have any traffic monitoring and analysis stuff like this?
Are you on a Wix domain or your own?
Set up Google Analytics tracking?
GA4 update broke it on WIX I think
Nicksartstuff.com set up through Wix. I have found an analytics add-in app with some limited free functionality. There might be something better but I will have to hunt unless you know of any I guess

Hmm GA says 'start for free' how long does that last I wonder?
My site is unlikely to make me a millionaire any time soon so I don't want to invest too much. I guess I will stick with the free app for the moment.
Is there anything useful I can get from users IP?
I replaced it with xxx for privacy in case it was useful
United Kingdom
IP xxx.xxx.xxx

I think 'start' in this context means 'basic features' rather than time-limited.

Probably not.
You can loosely get geolocation information and repeat / unique visitors, but are very far from wholly reliable. I can click a button on my PC an you'll think I'm browsing from Belize.
Got half a dozen sites on my GA dashboard and never paid a penny. IP address is largely pointless. If your home/office ip address is fixed and not DHCP it's worth excluding it from the results as it can skew it depending on traffic.

Have a look at search console too can give you some insights as to how your site performs, errors and search terms https://search.google.com/search-console/about
Okay - I will give GA a go. Thanks
And removing my own computer is a good Idea. I have done that for the YouTube stats
GA installed and up and running. There is 1 visitor on site at the moment reading the About page and referred from....
...STW
Kind of spooky the level of detail you get if you zoom in on the visitors map.
High level overview - disappointed with the Norwegian apathy

Zoom in on one of the visitor dots and I can see which house on the street they are visiting from

This is just site visitors. They haven't actually bought anything, just visited the site. This isn't me trying to be clever, I just used the free software and standard analytics. I was surprised at the level of detail it allowed.
