Anyone used it?
Yea its fine. But do expect some things to turn up months after you've ordered it. It can be quite fun when a parcel turns up you'd forgotten all about.
Most of the things are on Amazon for not much more if you need it in a rush.
As above. My daughter uses it. It can literally take months to arrive.
My wife uses it to buy all sorts of nonsense and then has completely forgotten what it is by the time it turns up. It's quite fun getting a parcel and finding out what's in there.
I ordered something as a Christmas present last October, it turned up in Feb. Luckily it was just a little stocking filler.
Personally I'd only use it to buy cheap bits and bobs that you're not going to be upset if they break or turn out to be rubbish.
It's basically the same business model as aliexpress but with a shiny website.
I've started buying bike consumables like bar tape and other odds and sods from those places as I know I'll need it at some point so it can sit in the spares box when it arrives.
Those and cheap upgrades like a 40t 1x chainring for the cx bike, no time pressure as the 2x stuff isn't worn and half the price of any uk "designed in the Uk made in china" sellers.
Yeah be careful.
I ordered an item from gear best in early may. It was in stock. It arrived today. Trying to get Chinese speaking customer support translated to English just meant they missed my point. "we sent item" 2 and a half months for a small item is just crazy.
Wish seem to have a lot of... Um.... Homage products. What the quality is like... Hmm
As others have said. Wish is fine, but their distribution centre is seemingly on the dark side of the moon.
A little while back, a friend organised a "Wishmas" group. Everyone playing got assigned someone else in the group and had to buy them a surprise gift, maximum spend £5. Some people got their surprises in a few days, others were several months. It worked well as a bit of fun.
I received a spy pen, a ballpoint with a hidden camera in it. As far as I can tell, the 'camera' was an LED which lit up when you pressed the button and not much else, but it's half decent as a pen.
Oh, and,
Be careful where you browse the site. There are some rather, ah, "questionable" items up for sale.
And right on queue, this literally just, ah, popped up in our Wishmas group.

Haha horribly wrong.... She says.
It’s great to know that there’s a cheap new way of being profligate. The lack of anxiety that comes from not having any sort expectation of when stuff might be delivered must be a plus too.
🙂

It works perfectly well from where I’m sitting
🤣
Might be better for the environment if delivered straight to the landfill sites of the world.
