Hi,
I’m looking for some wireless ear pods, I’m too tight to buy apple ones so I would greatly appreciate any reconditions.
Thanks.

I have some jaybird run's which are very good. But I recently tried some jabra t65's which I think are a little bit better, although would probably still lean to the jaybirds for sporting use as they are a bit more secure in the ear.

Neither makes you look as much of a tosser as the apple airpods.

The “no cord” thing of the Apple ones is actually pretty nice. The cords on the other ones I’ve tried always get in the way. If that makes me a tosser, so be it.

I recently picked up some Sony WF-1000X from Costco for use in the gym. Reviews were good and I'm happy with them so far. Certainly fine whilst running, etc. No issues in the month I've been using them. Battery life is a few hours. Haven't timed it, but they saw me through a 2.5 hour gym session with about 30% power remaining if memory serves.

I've got some £30 letscom ones of Amazon. They work, they sound good and they don't fall out of my ears like apple ones.

Also, I can use them individually when I'm on my bike or around the house and want to be able to hear what's going on.

iirc they say 3 hours, plus an extra 9 hours in the case, I have only worn them for a max of probably a couple of hours. They do say what the remaining charge is when you power them on.

Try and keep up at the back, we are talking about "true wireless" pods. But I agree with your point that "true wireless" is much better, especially for sporting activities. I won't be going back to wires.

I have some enacfire pods from the dreaded amazon which were £40 and i honestly can’t fault them. Battery life is about 3 hours or more, they connect in about 2 seconds and they sound better than the apples.... much to everyone’s chagrin at work.

I have got Beats-X. Not all the functionality of the apple airpods, but do have the widget chip that makes them play nice with iPhone.

IMO, if you want true “wireless” then AirPods are the way to go. I have a set of AirPod rips offs for falling asleep in. They are nowhere near the quality and ease of use of the beats.

Don't be tempted by the slightly less expensive Huawei Freebuds- I got them er,free, ironically with a phone purchase last year. Great sound but very irritating motion control constantly setting off Google assistant-something that isn't configurable. Shame because as a true wireless solution they looked great. The silicon ear bud style isn't for everyone but they sound better imo.

Now using some BeForce B4 ones which were around 60quid and are the short wired neck chain type but with a small in-line control which I had missed more than I realised. Solid construction and sound is brilliant. Calls and my extensive Carley Rae Jepsen back catalogue sounds mint.

The two that I mention are at least equal in quality to the apple airpods (much better sound quality IMO), but also are better designed to stay in the ear during sports.

Seen a few reviews for the Funcl AI and the general consensus is they appear to be pretty good, similar styling to the Airpods but work with Android phones too and about half the price.

Think there only available on Indiegogo(crowdfund) at the mo.

I have some Soundpeats ones from Amazon which have a little cord between them, for the money they are solid not the best audio ever but good enough, the cord which is a flat ribbon type one seems to grip the back of your neck though so i wear them with the cord under my chin.

I had 3 pairs of Beats X in 12 months. They kept packing up and Apple kept giving me new ones. On AirPods now and they are pretty good.
