We have a wee Sony bluray player which has all that smart TV gubbins on it if wired up to the intraweb. Trouble is it's not wireless but requires a cable. Not a problem if the router was close to it, but it's not! I thought I could probably get a wee wireless bridge to connect it to the router but wasn't really sure what I would be looking for or even which one to get - any help greatly appreciated!

You could use two options, either a small wireless bridge connected to the blu-ray or use Powerline adapters that will allow you to have a plug by the router and a plug by the blu-ray player. They can be a bit temperamental but may offer more stability and bandwidth.

Have a google for wifi bridge. Sky even do a wifi connector if you're with them for their boxes with extras?

Had the same problem with a smart TV where the router was upstairs in the study. Solved it with a Netgear WNCE2001.
