I thought gethin looked like he was carrying a few extra pounds in the last match but he ain't playing much for Toulon so maybe not surprising fitness and form suffer.

France by 10-15
Ireland by less than 7
Scotland by less than 7

Wrecker I think its a bit of Ulster being a good team as opposed to outstanding individuals, having injuries to guaranteed starters (Tommy and Fez) and Ireland being selected by the Munster turnip head Deccie. Whenever Ulster were the third best team in Ireland and we had 2 starters his argument was that if Ulster performances improve in Europe then it will be reflected in the Ireland team. Not sure what his excuse is now.

My considered and unbiased opinion is that Wales have quicker props than Ulster's midfield, so that may be the reason... 😆 (Sorry BM! Had to get it in.)

First time in years that a ref penalises a forward pass and it looked bloomin fine to me!

Italy were awful! Nicol et all raving about how good the Scots have been....yes they were good, but they had less than a third of the possession, hardly any territory and scored two tries from their own half....their forwards looked second best too. Italy really gave them that one!

Don't agree about the forwards, no way were the scots second best.

Italy needed to gain field position before they started playing they were wales like in their stupidity in running from their own half. So many questions still unanswered. How good were england last week, how good are ireland Wales gifted them everything. How much was wales second half down to good wales play or ireland lifting off

Possession counts for nothing if you are on the back foot. Scotland dominated possession v nz and S.A. in autumn but lost both. I am quite happy to have less possession if we make good use of the ball which we did have.

The scottish forwards were certainly not 2nd best set pieces were fairly even but in the loose Scotland's pack were far better.

Good to see there are still tries being scored, more of the same for France v Wales please

A few scrums were turned over, Italy's try came from a scrum.....in the loose it was more even but Scotlands pack looks really tame to me.

The set pieces were more even, the loose is where the Scottish forwards were better.

ANY sporting event on the beeb we normally have to live with the shite that is the home counties commentary team, one Andy Nichol does not parity make.Complaining about a Scottish commentary is almost as good as Zokes(or was it you?) explaining why we should understand that us minor nations should accept updates from the England [s]stag party[/s] sorry, training camp in the last World Cup during our games. 🙄

POSTED 13 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

We won today because we did what good Scotland teams of the past did,we scrapped,we concentrated on making sure any ball our opponents got was crap. We have never,in the 35 years I have watched Scotland had a dominant scrum.I remember Will Carling saying exactly exactly the same after our Colonial Masters didn't win in 1990. Rugby still has room for dog, thats what we did today.

I was sat right in front of the chip and chase involving Gray, he caught the guy and threw him into touch with one hand 😀 Wife has told me "to make it home tonight." last train is at 11pm 😈 sláinte mhaith singletrack

I don't know or care what Home Counties shite you have to put up with, it doesn't change the fact that nicol is a nause and I shall complain all I like thanks.
Beating a very badly misfiring Italian team isn't exactly worthy of party time, but good luck with the wife.

I don't know or care what you Home Counties shite you have to put up with,

Only just started drinking actually.I was going to ask why a Scotland Italy game shouldn't have a Scotsman providing additional commentary, and how even a member of the Master Race could find something to complain about in that...but thought I would be better just drawing your attention to the following two words and a bible quote...Brian Moore.

Matthew 3.7

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

Chin up Wrecker, not nervous about tomorrow are you? Hell, that's even a green smiley! We are awful at rugby, and knowing very well how things are going up here, going to get worse;brief moments of hope are followed by crushing reality. The one advantage that has over your lot is that it is never a surprise.

PS; I played beside Andy at Dundee High FP, a cracking lad,but yes he isn't great..but youtube Jim Hay (the alternative)

I hope your edit concerning my wife isn't a pathetic dig?

Missed the first match but amused by the AN comments. Glass half full or empty - two full glasses for the boys in blue.

Raced back to watch F v S. Poor so far but three numbers on 22:29

I am a bit actually.
I wasn't having a dig at scots. I was having a dig at nicol. He's an individual, I don't cast huge aspersions on a whole nation because of a single commentator (unlike some...). What makes you think I'm a fan of Moore?

I was also genuinely wishing you luck with the wife. Six nations can be a difficult time....... 😀

Awful game so far.....Wales look slightly more likely to score for me....but not that likely! France will never score if Michalack keeps kicking the ball straight to Wales every 2 minutes. Wales to edge the second half imo.

The pitch does indeed look like it was laid yesterday. I just hope that a scrum doesnt end in tears due to the pitch giving way.

The French were the favourites to win the whole thing little over a week ago. The scots must fancy their chances now, and rightly so.

An appalling game, I thought Wales played poorly which shows quite how bad the French were. What is Michalek doing there after last week! No creativity, no ideas other than bosh it up the middle. And that was badly executed.
Roll on tomorrow's game, Ireland by 7 ( which I really don't want to happen but think it will)

No AA I would call it as I saw it.

That was a dire game although I have to say think Wales defended well which caused France to run out of options and game plans.

Great result, not the tidiest of games, but then again not the tidiest of pitches.
The Welsh try was bang tidy though.
So far I'm happy with the results today, let's see what tomorrow brings.
