So that's going to be 6 loses in a row for Wales.

What has gone wrong, I figured them as a possibility for the next World Cup, not after that shambles.

What must be worrying for Wales is aside from an interception they didn't look like scoring. And if Samoa could kick their chances it would have been a big defeat.

Wales have a big imposing set of backs, some good loose forwards but they were nowhere to be seen.

Halfpenny is a quality player though.
Wasn't convinced of the swinging arm, more of a worry for me is the lack of arms used in tackles these days. Yes he caught him, Halfpenny was going low too so seemed worse, but was the defender just making a wrap tackle? Some of the hits these days are just that with no attempt to use arms which I feel are far more likely to cause injury.

They did alright in the scrums first half but I think Jarvis got tired and with Scott Andrews on the bench wales were ****ed. With Adam and Mitchell broken the cupboard is bare at tighthead.

Doesn't sound like I missed much. Warmed up my singing voice at first date of Squeeze tour tonight, looking forward to the anthem tomorrow.

Feel a bit for Wales, possibly the best side at the World Cup to .... basement. Ah well a nice game to play back into form next, Italy away is looking a bit tricky next year too.

'best side at the world cup'

in which they managed to beat just one decent side, Ireland. Wales have often looked pretty but not delivered.

Still, on to Australia this afternoon, England to be surprised with the passion in the forst 20 and go behind, but grind a win out by 7

Wales havent played any pretty rugby since 2005. Its one of the great rugby myths. Under Gatland they have played very simple bosh rugby. Odd that it has worked under Gatland and gone to utter shite under Howley. Not sure if we should blame the shite being played by the regions and the depressed nature of the regional game or Howley or both. Clearly the players can do better.
On the plus side wales have gone two games without unleashing an attacking move in the backs so NZ will have nothing to analyse when we revert from one up runs to a dazzling array of dummy runners, support linrs and offloads. The all blacks will be forced to just sit back clap as we cut them to ribbons................. NURSe!!!!!!!!

Er, yeah ok AA.

So, an hour to go - England or Aus? I'm stlll with England - Robshaw's resurrected the Fortress Twickers motto again and I feel thats like asking to Aussie's to score trys - we ain't that good yet.

My call is England to win - close at the first half, with us opening a small gap in the second. I'm going for 19-13 England (1 Try, 4 penalties from the scrum-attack).

SWI-ING LOW..... etc

Decent second half from Scotland there, but still lacking that last killer blow to score. Some nice stuff all round, and good hard game from both sides.

Anyone know if there are going to be any citings after last night? I thought the Biggar issue looked a little beyond the pale.

The hit on Biggar, the hit on Hibbard, the hit on 1/2p and the neck hold and judo throw on Owens could all be citings, welsh pack should have cracked a few skulls over it all but were half asleep.

I thought Aus were fine at the rucks, better technique and more power, England also lack a real 7. Having said that England looked pretty good, would hammer Wales at the moment (who wouldnt).
Barnes at 15 and Beale at 10 really works despite what I said earlier. Barnes playing as a distributer in mid field makes them look very dangerous the range of passes those two can deliver is brilliant.

There was a fair amount of rolling around in the rucks, and kicking the ball out of the the rucks as well. Their try was forward but I'd accept that on the basis Tuilagi's is doubtful, and their prop should have been carded for deliberate fouling after knocking that ball away near thier line. Fair amount of shoving in the line out.

All in all though, they were more Streetwise, not necessarily more talanted.

I think all the s. hem sides are better at the breakdown and better at getting over the gain line. I wonder if it stems from playing on hard fast pitches more?

I think you need to open your other eye because they are far more talented. Your allowed to kick the ball in rucks arent you?

Also - You should only change shirts if there's a clash. So, Wales v Tonga for example, both play in red, so one team changes. If there's no clash, tell your marketing department to eff off and leave the teams in their proper shirts.

No. Your allowed to "ruck" (roll under the foor, use the heel) the ball back from your grounded payer to the rear of the ruck. You are not allow to stand at the side, or over the top of the ruck in front of the grounded opposition player if they are in possession and hoof the ball away. That is offside, penalty.

To gain posession of the ball, you must push / tackle /drive the opposing team members backards having only entered the ruck from the rear (throught the gate) so that you are now standing with the grounded player or ball behind you - you are now onside and the ball is in your possession.

true but the offence is offside, if you come through onside you can boot the ball where you like.

Lots of teams seem to have players with the ability to slide round through the ruck/tackle and appear in an offside position, looking innocent but interfering with 9 or 9-10 channel sometimes having dragged the tackled players ankle so putting his head and ball away from the support.

Yes AA, thats right. I'm accusing Aus of standing offside and booting the ball.

Did you see any Aus players driving over - then booting the ball away, and why would they because once you've driven over the ball is thiers.

yep and the england players diving over and I saw Aus drive over and england players come in behind and win the ball back on a number of occasions. Aus won because the players are more talented not because they are better cheats.

Never mind they beat Wales 3 times recently and better a narrow loss to aus than being beaten by Samoa and Argentina 😆
What is it now, 6 losses on the bounce? 😆
I can accept that aus are the better team if Wales can accept that Samoa are 😆

I'm surprised that Australia didn't win by more, they looked better across the pitch than England. I think we'll have better luck against route one springboks but the all blacks are going to rip us to shreds 🙁

Still, at least it wasn't Samoa 🙂

Samoa recently beat Aus in Aus and England just lost at home to Aus so by my one eyed reckonning Wales are still better than Englandshire (but maybe only for a couple weeks when wales get thumped at home by Aus).

aa is just being deliberately obtuse, all the southern hemi sides cheat and get away with much more the northern hemi sides.

From their dodgy forward passing and unbelievable illegality at the rucks to dodgy scrums.

It's our fault for not playing the same game, we need to wake up a bit.

I mean look we can even ban an AB for rucking someone's head. If that was an English player he would have had a 1 month ban, and I hardly fly the flag for England.

It's already been mentioned, but I really can't believe how many forward passes that lead to a try are allowed these days! I'm all for flowing and attacking rugby, but ffs pi passing backwards is the main rule of the game. The Aussie try didn't even look close to straight/backwards. Tom Young looked pretty lightweight in the scrum today to me too. Bring back the psycho New Zelander 🙂

We (England) were very poor, yes their try was a forward pass but ours was a little fortunate, we didn't kick our goals when we had a chance - very strange. As my mate said, we looked like plums in that strip and we played like soft fruits too. I hope to never see that strip again.

Biggar - Headshot. Deliberately. Citing
Hibbard - No attempt to use the arm, not a legal tackle. Citing? Not too sure...
Judo stylings? FFS, Barnes, what's the point of you? Citing.

Flash the Hibbard one is high too I think its a red so should be cited. Have no idea what the refs are looking at these days. Will have a look on Gwlad see if the 1/2p one is up yet.

Wales; going backwards, lack of props as well it would seem.

Oh harsh!

TBH the way the IRFU have treated Fiji is awful. Not awarding caps, moving it to a backwater and sending out the B team is very disrespectful. No wonder Fiji were more interested in boxing than playing rugby, they just didn't really want to be there.

However the 'Ireland' team can only play whats in front of them and the young back line was wonderful to watch at times. But careful Deccie won't use any of them against Arg and nothing will change. I worry about how poor our forwards were against Fiji and have a worry that the Arg pack will tear us apart on sat.

If ever proof were needed that rugby players get too many bangs to the head that Warburton interview is it.

Kryton you can build up what you like wales are a reasonable team playing badly whereas NZ are an exceptional team playing well.

Duckman it would appear no one has been cited from the samoa wales game, any views on the incidents above?

Furthermore what are we to make of Cole getting ****ed over by aus? Bit of a worry for the lions or a case of lack of support from 1 and 2?

Murray played well what days are the lions tests on. Scottish loosehead looks good too.

Too many welsh. Jenkins has been utter shite, Lydiate is broken, R Jones is not a Lions Test lock and Faletau hasnt looked great. Roberts hasnt been used properly so he's still a maybe. For me Flood is the best ten an Visser needs to learn to tackle and carry in traffic, he went awol in the SA game after getting hit hard early on.
