💡 Look on the bright side:

None of us can remember how to ride fast on dusty trails.

Winter brings the best surf.

The ski season will soon be here. 😀

Yippee the return of mud. 😀

I really struggle to ride in hot weather so I will not be unhappy to see autumn roll in.

Pretty sturdy light unit, is it hjghg5?

Because I'm cack-handed and bike racks hate me, my lights usually stay on for three or four days max.

Think I'll put mine on in October...

Yep. Our indoor heating thermostat showed 22.5 yesterday - if it had dropped another .6 degrees the heating would have come on.

Night riding, cyclocross, fitting the ice tyres, crisp, cold mornings where you can see your breath, Strathpuffer......what's not to like about winter? It's going to happen, embrace it. Love it.

Good point—it's only 134 days till Christmas and I've got them on a low simmer! I've turned the gas up now—got a nice 'champagne boil' going. A brassica has no business being crunchy

You have to show them who's boss by boiling them into submission—nothing worse than an insolent sprout

Can't wait, it's far too warm for hard indoor turbo sessions.

Good English veg cooking rules - if you can count them, they're not done.

We had solid wall insulation affixed to our house at the start of May. The heating could have seized up for all I know.

Actually looking forward to some cold nights to see if the house needs less heating. 🙂

The Wife meanwhile, is looking forward to seeing if she can actually get the place past the 30c mark. 😕
