Ordered something from them 2 weeks ago and have no way of contacting them since...

if you try to ring them a pre recorded message says to email them, if you email them (which i have 4 times!) they don't respond... i've had no comms from them at all since making my purchase.

ok, i've only ordered a £60 cassette, so not a huuuuuge loss, but still....

EDIT: a quick look at #winstanleybikes on twitter would suggest i'm not alone!

I ordered a saddle from them and it took just short of two weeks to arrive.

Have you had your dispatched email?

They're profitable and stable based on their last couple of years accounts and being that every other bike co can't sell stock fast enough at the moment, I suspect they're just really really busy. Especially if they've had to bring in SD rules to their warehouse etc.

they're not going under - they're just sh!t.

I ordered some fox 36 dust seals about 4 weeks ago that were showing as in stock, they arrived yesterday.

In the interim I got fed up of waiting so ordered from somewhere else and they turned up in a couple of days.

They probably can't get their huge stock of old bikes out fast enough at the mo.

As above, not going under, just got even worse at comms than usual.

Bought a bike from them last week. Was in 2 minds but then I noticed the price dropped by a further 20% on what was already 10% off RRP so I bought. Right that after price went back up and stayed there. Error or algorithm?

I was half expecting cancellation, but it showed by the end of the week, a pretty reasonable time considering.

I bought some rims and hubs from them last year. I received each item in 4 separate deliveries over the course of about 5 weeks.

That's the first and last time I used them.

Sent my Reverb back to them a month ago for a warranty job, only to find out last week (after chasing them up) that they've more than likely lost it. I get it that mistakes happen, but switching off your phone and not replying to emails is a dick move.

Dunno, think it may be the latter as the price on stuff used to go up at around 9 in the morning then drop back down around midnight. I've never had any issues with them, a bit slow but not unforgivably so.

Tweeks is similar, I've been waiting 3 weeks for an order, it's nothing I'm desperate for but the lack of communication is pretty poor. What's obvious is that well organised and well run companies seem to be able to adapt to the crisis.
Wiggle / CRC were always pretty reliable and have remained reliable during the crisis.

Winstanley or Tweeks were always pretty shoddy in terms of what they showed in stock versus what they HAD in stock and always seemed a bit haphazard. Cue Covid-19 and they both end up turning their usual slap dash approach to order fullfilment up to 11.

Other sectors are similar, Srewfix / B&Q coping well. Homebase shambolic etc.

I also had the pleasure of dealing with these morons. I ordered a pair of Northwave Flash GTX boots in October as they were cheaper than everybody else. On the site they said that my size was in stock but sure enough, 4 days later I got a email saying they were at the supplier and not in stock. I waited 2 weeks and after a few email to customer service and not hearing anything from their crap customer service I claimed back the money on my credit card.
