Some balls to attempt this:
What could possibly go wrong?
They should do it with a helicopter instead, cos that can hover in one place. Much easier.
[wipes sweaty palms]
madness. glorious glorious madness...
The Bond stunt at the start of Goldeneye was basically that, they did actually do it. Took a few takes.

Oh that'd be really messy!!
To be fair there's a pretty dangerous-looking spinny thing on that plane.
I suppose that's a pretty cool achievement. Has anyone done a 'reverse' parachute jump before I.e. ground --> plane?

Waay cool but my lordy the penalty for error...
Not that I could imagine doing anything like that - but it seemed 'tamer' if that's the right word, than when they fly through gaps in the rock, etc where any error is a lot more tangibly final!
Still think the guy who landed on the cardboard boxes wins. There is one shot at that and full commitment
But that is cool, stylish and way beyond anything I could imagine doing

After that didn’t some bloke do a parachute jump without a parachute, landing in a big net? Not that the wingsuit landing wasn’t spectacular, but the jump was possibly even more risky? (If ‘more risky’ is the right term when you’re getting into these realms).

I think i agree - when you see them side on and see the 10 to 15% glide ratio (correct term?) its even more astonishing how they can do all the low flying, getting the set up exactly right flying purely by feel.

Close enough?

Wingsuiting - Higher chance of injury or death. BASE - High chance of injury or death.
Add them together and you get even bigger chances of injury or death.
There's a really solid reason why people should wait until they get a UK C license/200-300 jumps before trying wingsuiting and that's because the margins for error get really, really small. Throw a single canopy, no AAD and low altitude into that, usually with a hard, unmoving next to your flight path and it makes them razor thin.
Shit, a wingsuiter died at my local DZ last year and a mate used the wrong kit (i.e. not wingsuit-specific rig) and ended up having his AAD fire his reserve out as his main came out. He got into a flat spin and waited too long before throwing out his main. That was a really odd video to watch.
An acquaintance of mine flies a wingsuit. He admitted the other day that he needs to use his reserve ‘shute ‘quite often’. He has absolutely no fear.

No thank you.
Absolutely bonkers.
Few years back I was skiing in Chamonix. As we got to the top of the Brevant cable car, a couple of guys wizzed past and down the valley. I’ve seen lots of film of them but my god when you see them in real life it is quite staggeringly crazy!
For those with an interest in BASE the Sean McConcky film is very good.
Indeed it was. Whatever happened to him. I think you can guess. It makes cave diving look safe.
The plane is the star there.
Love a Pilatus.
Nice big door, too. To jump out of, that is. Not in to.
Pilot congratulating second man in, turned round patting him on the head, I’m thinking ffs turn round and fly the plane mate!
Was walking under the Eiger a good few years ago and looked up to see someone flying from the top across the valley to Grindelwald. They were flying for absolutely ages. Never seen anything like it.
So not only had they just jumped off a huge mountain, they'd had to climb tbe bugger first. (OK there's a train 60% of the way there but it's still a massive climb once you're on the glacier.)
Massive climb you say?
As for the Pilatus, never jumped one, but the door is on the wrong side! I’ll take a skyvan over that, or maybe an Mi-8
Still think the guy who landed on the cardboard boxes wins.
I knew him growing up. Was a bit of a character - mainly just talk - but there was no way you'd guess that he'd go onto to do stuff like that.
Also parachuted into the 2012 Olympics dressed as the Queen.
