There seems to be a big difference in prices, from £1.50 to £15.
Is it worth buying the expensive ones?
£4 from tesco ok for me.
Expensive for me, though not stupidly, I bought cheap then endured squeaky blade for a quite a while.. I was a tad annoyed (couldnt refund as it ages after I bought them that I needed to use them... Was a couple of years ago obviously)
I bought silicone blades some years ago and they have been good on my Defender ( they were cheap-ish ones from Ebay ).
What car can you get blades for £1.50 ?
Bosch Super Plus from flea bay - best balance of quality & cost IMO.
Firstly before you replace them get some old newspaper, and give the windscreen a good rubbing , or use toothpate,to remove grease road crap etc. Then wash with warm water.
next take out old rubbers and turn then round, so the top is now the bottom.
also when you lift the arms, put a towel on where the arm will come to rest on the screen if it springs back, a neighbour a few years ago had his flick back without the wiper rubber on, and it cracked the screaen.
£5 per pair flat blades from eBay for me - lovely job, can specify different sizes so pretty much suit ny car...

I used to just get cheap blades, which would start to judder, and smear pretty quickly, so I bought a set of Halfords flat blades, which were more expensive, but have lasted really well, are silent in operation, and clear the screen really well after eighteen months or so.
Bosch aero blades for me every time. Cheap are good if you just poodle around town and they get little use, but if you do lots of miles cheap ones do not last.
Shop around and you can often get a pair for £20-£25
I've just got some of the cheap ebay ones and they're perfect. I can see where I'm going now, which is nice.
New style flat blades are worth the extra money
bosch blades.. euro car parts if theres one near ya, cheap as chips and OE spec on most cars.
Bosch every time.
Lidl ones are Bosch
Whatever doesn't squeak or judder. That's sends me insane by the time I've finished my hour commute!

*DING DING DING* Is the riiiight answer
I pay the extra for PIAA silicone blades. They last for ages, but the real benefit is the thin layer of silicone they create on the glass - rain just rolls off. It's worth a few quid to see where I'm going in the rain.
Bosch blades and rain x.
Current blades are 3 or 4 years old and still fine.
Rain x means you use the wipers less and when you do the friction is lower.
Generally, at over 45 mph i don't use wipers at all.
RainX is good but doesn't last too long. Also found that the screen was less clear immediately after wiping.
Blades from Redline of the bay and a coating of rain ex , jobs a good un and replace every year, simples.
Bought some from Tesco with the aero shape. Fitted easily and worked pretty well.
Been on less than 6 months and the plastic connection to the wiper arm had gone brittle and fell apart. More importantly, so did the other on the way back from the Puffer at 60mph in the rain. Fortunately the wiper arm didnt carve the screen up.
Learning from this is metal fittings, not plastic which seems unable to handle the weather and cold. I would go for a metal one first then cost...
Last couple of times I've bought wiperblades.co.uk own brand aero wipers. They're spot on, run silently, and generally do the job well. I'll buy again when I need more.
They're on the expensive side of your £1.50 to £15, but massively cheaper than other premium aero blades.
