Don't know why but whenever I try and download anything be it program's or video (YouTube/Vimeo) it always stops after a short period ..
It's not such a problem on program download but you have to keep pausing then resume to get it to load ..
Bloody pain in the arse when trying to watch midweek movies though .

Anyone else have these problems /fixed them ??

Im not sure what you mean by download youtube? Are you just "watching" it and it pauses?

Whats your isp? Any changes to that or your router? You wireless? Any other problems there (you tried wifi-analyzer to see about channels?) ?

What does speedtest.net say when run from your w8 laptop? You doing any torrent stuff, other downloads? Could your isp be throttling you?

Here we're on W8 laptops and desktops and no problems - possibly the most reliable setup I've encountered but that doesnt help you really.

#Edit Even if all that comes back clear let us know. There are other things to check / change.

Yes just watching ........it stops permanently ...
No torrents ..just single downloads ..router is fine ....all other devices work fine..iPad /smartphone / desktop / kindle
Must be a restriction or something one the laptop...as I said above when downloading a program it stops aftera while and if you click pause box then resume box it starts again ....for a while

I doubt its just a laptop specific problem. Can you run speedtest.net ok from the w8 laptop? what does it say?

I doubt its just a laptop specific problem.

Just thought of something so I'm going to refute I ever said that!

Does your laptop sleep or hibernate when you close the lid? What wireless adapter is built into it? Does it behave any better after a windows "restart"?
