BBC Weather is saying snow overnight and tomorrow for Sheffield. I'm on the train at 7.00am to get to work.
It's 15 minutes down to the station, ~35 back riding. How likely is it the train will be cancelled and will I only find out when I get to the station do you reckon?
Use Trainline or a similar app to check your journey before leaving in the morning. It’ll usually tell you if the train is cancelled or delayed.
The whole county is going to be cancelled tomorrow.

The Hope Valley line has actually been reasonably good recently in spite of the work being done around Bamford putting in the new passing loop.
However it's very vulnerable to the weather.
The problem with the Trainline app or the WhatsApp messages is it's often very last minute when it updates.

They get cancelled, but the reason is ‘due to a short notice timetable adjustment’. Still get compo.
Seems to work both ways, got messages saying my train was both cancelled then un-cancelled (their word) a few hours later.
Well OP?
I also waited up all night to see how this concludes
