Just planted carrots, radishes, spring onions and lettuce seeds in the veggie patch.
Any hope for them?
Lettuce should be ok and maybe the spring onions.
Never tried radishes. Carrots might be a bit late to get anything decent sized in my experience. Only tried hem once but they came out very wonky - not like supermarket carrots!
should all be ok. radishes 6-8 weeks depending on the type, carrots take around 12 weeks where I am . Some people harvest them over winter ( using a polytunnel cover) but they need to be fully mature cefore the cold sets in. So if you are lucky with the weather you might be alright.
lettuce will be fine, i've just sown my last batch. I do early may, mid june, start of august for succesive cropping during summer
wonky carrots is usually due to stoney ground
Carrots are good in baby form anyways, you could just plant more and harvest them sooner.
