Have you had any yet? We were up at Neist Point on Skye but too risky to walk to the lighthouse, wind and rain stung the face, waterfalls blown upwards

Yeah pretty bad down here. Ride through a puddle in Woburn today, almost got my socks wet.

It’s windy now pretty typical for March. Freya? Is that what we’re calling the wind thus week?

Calm down Winston it's not arrived with you yet. We will send it down your way when we are finished drying the washing. ...... The whirly gigs about bent double with the bed sheets on.

Braw drying day

I’m on the Isle of Purbeck and last night was pretty wild. We were walking on a ridge overlooking the sea around 15;30 yesterday when the wind really hit and Freya blew hard all night after that. Still a little breezy here.

30knts SW’ly, nothing to write on a forum about.

South Coast, in the middle bit, the IOW obstructs the view.

Definitely firm drizzle moving to light rain here in Warwickshire this morning. Will await the proper stuff at some point.

Portland can get a bit rough. I've been walking the coastal path above the West Weares and around Blacknor Fort it got so strong I chickened out of walking any further.
I've happily lobbed model gliders off into winds measuring over 100mph in the compression but this was way above that. A very scary place. My wife had the rear door of her T5 rip off while loading the van after a gig at Royal Exchange during last years gales.
Oh, and its a bit windy and lightly raining in Oxfordshire. I got my bike riding in yesterday just in case.

I'm glad you have given us that general weather forecast Drac.

My window says your iPad is wrong.

Still windy.

Im just on the south edge of the beacons and it's absolutely bouncing down with rain. It was a bit wild yesterday up on the tops. May head to the coast today and watch the waves for a bit.

Don't get me going. The British might have a reputation for being obsessed about the weather but this need to conflate it with the cult of celebrity really is pandering to the 24 hour news imperative.

It's drizzling, 12C and a tiny bit windy here. The Met Office has, therefore, issued a weather warning.

I hate it when the Irish nick our storms and name them before we get a chance.

You know where you are with a good, solid, British storm - perhaps Daz, Frank, or Charlie. Less so with Eion or Aoife.

Well I certainly got soaked and blown about on my ride this morning. The 2 mile strava segment "windy hill" certainly lived up to it's name and I was struggling to keep my 66" gear turning.

Just spent an hour at Birling Gap hoping the wind swell was going to produce some "surf".  It didn't, so it's not wild enough.

Had a few wind jokes here in my house as my daughter is called Freya.. but all we've had here in North Norfolk is 20mph winds and that fine rain that soaks you right though (in the words of Peter Kay)..

same here. I'd describe it as "dank and dreary" but not really worthy of a weather warning.

Isn't Freya supposed to make landfall from 3pm Sunday through to Monday morning ?

It was windier last night than it is now. Went for a ride this AM and finished just as the rain arrived.

It's not a personal weather warning for each individual. It's a blanket for most of the country, and they are saying.it.mught be windy enough to be an issue.

I can't stand people taking digs at the weather forecasters. Like you could do better.

My Suunto Core is sounding its storm alarm and baro pressure has dropped from 1000.8 to 984.2 mbin the last sixteen hours so something's cooking. Current wind speed in Salford is 7-10 mph.

Yes but as it typical with this sort of weather event there is a condescending front moving over first.

had to shelter in the bus stop before getting to the pub last night, waiting for a monsoon to pass, other than that, bit windy and rain, with periodoc monsoon type down pours.

There was some rain in my locale, it varied between drizzle and light rain..

People need to learn how reporting is done, they give a percentage chance of rain and the (stupid in my opinion) single rain drop, or double rain drop..

But I guess they have to do that because if it rains slightly heavier they have to cover thier buts.

My wife is stuck on the M4 because a bridge is closed because of the high winds. The A465 flooded a little earlier. I can hear the wind trying to lift my roof off. I’m probably further west than most of you - the storm is on its way. (Disclaimer - it may not effect every person in the whole country...)

Pretty windy here in Cardiff. Just got back from one if my usual road loops, was hoping for some Strava pb's on my way home riding East. But I was so tired fighting the Westerlies on the way out all I could do was let the wind blow me home 🤨
