Spur of the moment trip up north, and have fancied riding Laggan for a while now (never been before).

What is road/car access like to the south side of Loch Laggan?
Judging by maps there looks to be a fair few potential camping spots with access to the car near by.

Any pointers most welcome!

There's no road access to the south side of the loch, it's all private (and gated). There are any number of suitable spots if you're willing to walk/cycle to them, just avoid the big hoose!

If I was wanting to pitch beside my car in that area I'd probably drive up to Garva Bridge.

Or even better, ditch the tent and stay in the bothy at the end of the road.

Cheers, will head up that way instead.

I'm imagining a busy wee bothy due to the holidays! Will see how it goes though.

Thanks again

If you use their uplift service, watch how they load your bike onto the carrier. Take some old rags or something. They scuffed the shit out of my frame when we went.

Uplift? At Laggan? I'm surprised they managed to fit your zimmer on the trailer grandad.

Thanks for the heads up. Spent the night at Garva Bridge which worked out perfect - the only company I had being ~100 deer and a hipflask of whisky. Ideal weather, no midges. Bliss.
