Spending more and more time in the office now, have been wearing five tens and my wide fit mizuno trainers, was starting to feel slightly under dressed as a result of wearing trainers.
But I’m now sat on a client floor and really feel too casual, need to start wearing proper shoes, which will be a novelty. But really need wide fit now. Which is a total pain, as not all shoes are available wide fitment and when they are they’re sold out quickly.
Some shoe web sites don’t even have a filter for wide fit, when I do find some that are wide fit, they’re clearly for blind people who can’t see how crap the shoes look.
Soo where do the other funny foot shaped STWers go for for wide shoes ?
Any brands that are typically wider than the norm ?, was trying to get a pair of Chelsea type boots, but have sacked that off quickly, seem to all be for narrow foot types.
Clarks?
Although I tend to only wear trainers these days!
Hoggs of Fife.
i am sat here with a brand new pair of G fitting wide brogues on. just landed this morning.
they do nice boots too.

fill your boots fella.
I wear Lems 9to5 in the office. Depends on where you're wide.
They offer other foot shaped formal looking shoes.
Vivos - very comfy despite the soles looking very minimal, not as nice a shape as Lems.
Lems- much prefer the toe shape to vivos
Altra - running lone peaks have a pair of escalante but the shape isn't as good as loan peaks
I believe the Lems Nine2Five is 2E, they do a chukka boot which is 2E+
Cheers guys, will take a look at those suggestions.
Lems look good. As do the hoggs of fife - good selection on that site @ton recommended, need to call them to find out which are 2E, 2G etc as no mention on there (that I can see), but good site and they never came up on my search !
My feet are wide pretty much all the way along my foot, esp round the toe box - Just below the toes? Means in most normal width shoes my feet overhang either side ( not noticeably) and after a day walking etc my feet really ache.
Lems, Astral and xero all have wide toe boxes and make shoes that are foot shape
I have some DrMarten Chelsea boots with wide foot, but narrow heel to suit me.
Had quite fancied some Blundstone but they were too wide on the heel for me so could be worth a look for OP.
They are at the more farmer end of the scale.
If you need wide steel toes, get V12 boots. Work bought me some and they were utter buckets that made wellies seem like custom fitted footwear.
Marks and Spencer do a lot of their shoes in wide fit and usually available in store in most sizes. I find them decent value, you can get a smart pair of brogues for around 80 pounds and they're suitable quality for about a year or two so of daily use, the last pair I bought are rebuildable too with a nailed on heel and welted sole.
