I thought it was just with my WiFi at home, but nope. Even on other WiFi/routers it's crap.

It'll hold for a bit, like 30s, and then drop the connection.

It has no problem listing all the available WLAN networks, but doesn't ever want to stay connected.

Is this a recent development ? My Linx 1010 did this, or dropping after power saving, then I realised it was in the middle of massive updates as it hadn't been used for ages - didn't settle down until it had been rebooted and updated.

Mine has a crap WiFi chip fitted. Some models will except a better part being fitted. Some info on Google.

I only use mine at home so my home network lets me use a usbc cable to a ethernet switch therefore bypassing WiFi. Obviously no good for using it on the move.

Has it got Bluetooth? Make sure Bluetooth is off...it seems to make a big difference to my Moto G7...which is crap with some WiFi networks when Bluetooth is on.

Not recent. No Bluetooth.

Just pants.

Fortunately it's got a sim card with 10g data otherwise it would be on ebay.
