I ****in hate this thing. iPhone 5, it's been shite since I've had it. However it used to be reasonably quick on 3G when connecting to web pages etc but of late its just so bloody slow!
I've been an I bitch for 6/7 years so any tips tricks that I'm missing?
Normal (as in not 4g) contract on EE

Is it the 3g that's slow? or the phone itself (opening apps etc.)? if it's the phone check how much free disk space you have, you want at least 10-15% free. If it's the 3g that's slow, that's ee's fault

You do the double tap and swipe thing to turn off the background apps?
Or is every app you ever opened running in the background? You will be surprised how many iphone/ipad users don't know about this.

It's just when using 3G. It seems far quicker when using the connection to do email or say Facebook but when browsing its painfully slow.

Sounds like your mobile network is just congested....

If you're talking about web pages loading, then it's not just you. I've got a 5 and I'm seeing exactly the same thing - web pages takes ages to load.

Having said that - I don't think it's the handset. I just swapped mine out at the apple store for a replacement (battery wasn't lasting well), and it sees the same thing. I think it's most likely the network - ever since EE introduced 4G (and I didn't pay to upgrade), things have been getting worse and worse on the connection side. Very tempted to jump ship (or at least try a different network SIM and see how it goes).

I hate Apple but my missis has literally just backed up all her photos and videos to pc and deleted them all off her phone, up dated it and now it's much faster, she's chuffed.

Swapped from a 4 to a 5c this week on EE 4G and it's so much faster browsing compared to 3G, might be the network not the phone.

Hmmm. Maybe it is just EE being shit then 👿

I also get connectivity issues with losing 3G altogether - to the point where I have to turn the phone off and on again to re-establish a connection. Really getting annoying now!

What's it like on wifi? If it's ok on wifi then it's your network.

try switching airplane mode on and off. a lot quicker than switching phone on and off.
