This morning I decided to do some bike fettling. Namely changing the n/w chainring. So I take the drivetrain to bits and try to fit the 104 BCD chainring I blithely ordered. The problem is, the drivetrain on my new bike is SRAM and so needs a 94 BCD chainring. SRAM is a German company, I believe. So those bloody Germans have cocked up my drivetrain. I'm going to have to return the chainring and re-order a compatible one. I'm voting out of the EU for this reason. All these stupid standards and allowing foreign drivetrains into this great country.....
What? You think maybe I should have read the manual first?
Pah, you experts are so condescending.
Maybe I should chuck the incorrect chainring in the bin as well, just to spite those nasty Germans, that'd show 'em.

SRAM is american
You'll be wanting a 4 an 3/32 for that.
SRAM is american
I actually do know that - I though the willful ignorance was amusing.
Ah, but of course you realise you are going to have to redrill your chainring because Imperial measures are now compulsory. 🙂
