I come here to pass the time during my dull work days. What about you?

1. To alleviate the boredom.
2. For the camaraderie.
3. For bike related info.
4. For the humour.
5. To show everyone how superior I am in my knowledge of everything.

....except spelling, it would seem. 😉

Edit: I am here to make sarcastic comments but slightly too late.

Initially it was 3, but lately I just read threads that are likely to turn into a bitch fest, which is usually all of them 😆

Boredom / entertainment

Information

But for me the main thing is that unlike other social media it is not a echo chamber. Its good to get diverse opinions and to have your views challenged

1,2,3,4 & 6.

I already know how superior my knowledge of everything is, I don't need to prove it.

1, 3 & 4.

I rarely come here out of work time.

My job swings from boredom to high stress, I dip in here a couple of times a day.

Originally for bike-related advice but now for the laughs and watching people explode arguing with each other about the most insignificant things. But then I do like people watching...

Plus time wasting during downtime.

I followed a redirect when I was trying to buy a Russian Bride, now I'm stuck in this hellhole.

I must get a P for RussianBrides.com, the adverts are soooo annoying...

My wife, Louise, has a cat with cream stuck in its fur and I am looking for a lease car. This place just seems to cover issues that relate to my life.

The honest answer is that the last mountain bike forum I was on closed down a few months ago without warning ..guess the owner had his reasons.
It was fairly small (100 members) but very succesful in arranging regular forum rides ..with a good vibe between the members ..
I'm really just getting to know folks on here ..but one or two of the other forum guys contribute from time to time ..no one else from our local group of riders though.
I've always liked a bit of banter to get through the day as I work from home and most days I'm on my own ..
Quite enjoying it so far ..

slowoldman - Member
Pardon?

Number 4 right there! 😀

Same as my first thought to post, bit gutted to be beaten to it by a slowoldman tbh...

Mods: The title is bugging me, so in spite of possibly rendering the above reposte not as humourous, please would you correct it, thank you 😀

No idea. Can't stand the politics and moaning. Got a wood burner, a chainsaw, and tyres. Absolutely no good reason to hang around. Its a bit like work. I stay chatting as I cannot be arsed to thing about leaving.
off to check that CUK and Retrobike are managing without me. Maybe have a look at On3wheels as well.

No idea why I'm here, habit I reckon. Been here since well before the great hack, & have realised it's pointless asking for 'what this & that' cos all you end up with (mainly) is a minefield of opinions!
Some proper good people on here though, so that's probably why I come on.
Oh, & I get bored with the telly quite quickly

**** knows. Mostly for DIY tips and anonymous rants - stuff you can't put on FB in case your mum sees it.

Started by reading the magazine ( I understand there's a magazine? ) and discovered the forum later, only to find it full of bellends like me, rather than the intelligent, genteel gentleman cyclists suggested by the paper publication.

Like bikes. And talking about bikes. I tend to stay out of the chat section.

Oh and I'm not in IT.
