wikipedia doesn't come up with an answer to my liking
weak google fu?
from wikipedia:
MD, from the Latin Medicinae Doctor meaning "Teacher of Medicine"
HTH.
From wikipedia:
"In order to be eligible to apply for an MD degree from a UK or Commonwealth University one must hold either an MBBS, MBChB, or an equivalent US-MD degree and must usually have at least 5-years of postgraduate experience. Therefore graduates from the MBBS or MBChB degrees do not hold doctorates, however physicians holding these degrees are referred to as 'Doctor' by courtesy."
Just to confuse things, surgeons (who often hold doctorates) are refered to a "Mr"
Ah, the old changing the title trick. weak.
the url never lies...
ha ha, true 🙂
had a look on google, but couldn't find anything concrete, so opened it up to the STW elite, then realised that there were some decent answers if i'd actually bothered to put any effort in looking
thanks for the help
It's to do with lines of longitude and latitude... if it was triangular they needed another set of lines and they couldn't afford them.
Dairylee got it's rights lawyers involved so the earth backed down. bloody american company buying up our heritage. 👿
as TSY says, suppose we can consider ourselves lucky that it's flat like a piece of paper
should it be a tetrahedon?
errm, a triangle only has two dimensions.
Even digging my garden would indicate that the Earth is three dimensional.
how strange. No mention of turtles or elephants.
vinneyh - Pratchett was disproved midway through the 41st century.

I refer the gentleman to the following 😉
It probably was to start off with, but over time the corners got battered off by insane weather until gravity uniformly shifted everything into a nice ball shape. Incidentally, less gravity makes for easier up hills and HUGE downhill hills. Olympus Mons on Mars is 14miles high 😯
Olympus Mons on Mars is 14miles high
What tyres for Olympus Mons?
Possibly ones with less than 0.something psi
What tyres for Olympus Mons?
Continental Gravity?

I think even they would accept that the planet has a thickness of greater than 0.0mm?
It was, asteroids knocked all the corners off.
I think even they would accept that the planet has a thickness of greater than 0.0mm?
sorry i can't accept anything they would say.
From memory, it was something to do with those muppets in the EU and some strange legislation in relation to a certain tri-angled chocolate bar from one of its members countries. As the earth wasnt made of chocolate the EU deemed its was unlawful to be tri-angled shaped and only the aforemention confectonary treat was premitted to use the design.
