Cynic-al. Because not only does it comprise his name, it describes an aspect of his character too.

I know the origin of Mastiles-fanylion, as I am aquent with Shortbread-fanylion. It's an 'in joke' amongst a bunch of biker mates.

fanylion racing?

Yes, but the Mastiles bit comes from when he recommended and raved about Mastiles Lane as a ride to the rest of the Fanylions and they all thought it was shIte. My how they laughed!!

Moonter is Colloquial Scots for mountainbike. Never yet established whether its 'Mc' as in 'Mack' or 'Em-Cee' like a DJ...

No -they didn't think it was a sh*te ride, they just got bored of me talking about it non-stop all weekend when I first met up with them (it was all a bit 'then there was this time at Band Camp').

And fanylion is an *amusing* word we saw on a poster in a HSBC bank in Wales (Cricheth (sp.) Apparently it is Welsh for 'detail'.

By the way I like Smee/TrollingZooFighter/Goan as a forum name because everytime I see (saw) it, it gave me another opportunity to go fishing 😉

I like Fanylion because it gives me endless hours of musing on it's pronounciation. My preferred way is to pronounce it as they might in France, with the emphasis on the 'y' and 'lion' pronounced 'lee-on'.

Simple things and all that....

I don't know about 'best' but 'tankslapper' intrigues me.
I have visions of him happy slapping large army vehicles. And possibly filming it on his mobile prior to uploading onto the you tube.

but 'tankslapper' intrigues me.

it's a motorcycling term where the front end goes into uncontrollable wobbling...

and incidentally more or less describes my cycling "technique" 🙁

Cock end isn't it? At least that is what Smee advised it is and Smee is always right except when he is wrong, when he is correct instead.

I like esselgruntfuttock - its sounds like a really good swear word. I think I shall shout it when I crash.

I like the ones I read as something else - "sadexpunk" reads to me as "sadie spunk". ( still a punk name) "Postierich" becomes "posterior itch"

fanylion - I pronounce it as fanny lion ( ladies front bottom big cat.)

I wish I had had a bit more imagination.

ha jimmy I can assure you that George has no time to come back on here - he's having to bury himself in training for our charity ride in September - he has to keep up with me.

Between me and you - he hasnt a hope in hell....

BTW M_F you still carrying that chip. You must have a really bad back by now - esp with the lack of sleep from your waking kids 😉

I used to think that Barnesy's name was clever until he said his middle initial actually was "F" 😉

Mine makes me chuckle a bit. It's the result of one of my earliest
memories as a child when I poo'd myself. I remember my poor mum picking it out of my pants and, as if part of a 4x100 relay, running with it to the loo.

another vote for 'bumhands'.

'jimjim the human bin' off the old forum was a nice one too.

I also would like to like 'iDave' so long as he isn't a gadget freak with lots of posh apple products.
