Just finished a bottle of Buxton Ale. For some reason I was missing Derbyshire, thought this would realign that.

Water with a little bit of lemon juice added for flavour. Yum.

But at 3 stone overweight and now working on losing it, I can't afford the pleasure of anything else. 😕

I'm actually contemplating another pint of Kronenburg, but there's a bottle of Shiraz winking seductively at me. It's a dilemma.....

Nice choice on the rogue, I'm currently enjoying a Bristol Beer Factory Ultimate Raspberry (one of the '12 stouts of christmas' they do each year) but will be moving on to something north american later

Edit: actually going to be having a Tiny Rebel Chocoholic next, partly because its awesome and partly because its distressingly close to its best before date

Some lovely red wine from Naked Wine. It's lovely. Anyone want a voucher for some cheap Naked Wine? And I get some credit on my account...it's a win wine win for all!

Befriend me on facebook and I shall send you a voucher.

EDIT: this looks like a spam advert. It's not. I'm just pleasantly red wined up and want to share the love!

It's a tough one eh BInners, not like alcohol will cloud your judgement and let you make the wrong decisions or anything. they've got Corona 750ml bottles for £1.99 at the bottom of the road. Tempting, but I have work in the morn 🙁 If I'm typing bollocks at 2am tell me to GOTOBED!!

Good choice; if you have a poncy beer shop near you you should try their Ovila

A couple of wee Cocktails last night... a smoky whisky sour and Scottish Caiparinha. Both were rather interesting.

My heid is remarkably clear this morning.

Correction to the above post as to what I was drinking... to see for myself if Single Malt Whisky Cocktails are acceptable I decided to do a wee bit of research into this important and thought provoking area of Mixology (real word!).

I'm not a reviewer so please be gentle with my descriptions etc... I'd not normally put ice anywhere near Whisky but I like it with Bourbon... here goes!

THE QUINTASENTIAL
Glenmorangie Quinta-Ruban, 10 year old Tawny Port, Orange Bitters &
Brandy Marinated Griotte Cherries

I ****in loved this... really excellent flavours and very fruity tasting with the Whisky being mellowed but driving the drink.

Scottish Caipirinha
handmade scottish tablet muddled with lemon & lime wedges,
stirred with crushed ice, then topped with drambuie and
talisker 10 year old single malt whisky.

Interesting and very clever. I like Talisker and this did not ruin it in anyway (a bit odd when you get tablet chunks in your mouth... hmmm, crunchy).

Burnt Islay Old Fashioned
a very contemporary twist on an old classic. lagavulin single malt
whisky & makers mark bourbon, muddled sugar with orange bitters
and a dash of grand marnier, stirred over ice and served

Very pleasant. I love Lagavulin and again it was the driving flavour. The mixture here worked well with the orange and smokey flavours working together.

Remember... it was all just a bit of fun

I'm going the phase of drinking Wye Valley stuff...

1. Butty Bach
2. HPA
3. Dorothy Goodbody

Not sure if its a good or bad thing, but it seems I can drink quite a few, get merry, but without the hangover the next day!

Not much of drinker these days anyway...
