Some friends and I are off to see David Ford at Glasgow next Wednesday. As I'm a big fan and he's hardly a household name I decided to get some extra tickets to give away free in an attempt to net him some new admirers. I've still got one of these extra tickets if anyone here would like it.
The gig is at Oran Mor in Glasgow on Wednesday next week (7th June). Doors are at 7pm. As an added bonus you'll also have the opportunity to meet STW forum big hitter Northwind, who's also going. 🙂
David Ford is an English singer songwriter. He makes quite a lot of use of a loop machine. The easiest way to give you all an idea of what he sounds like is to drop in a few YouTube videos:
I was there for this one. His signature song, best experienced live as the sound builds up into a wall of raging noise by the end of the song.
Actual song starts at 2:30 or so, but the video is a good example of how chatty he can be at gigs.

Jeez that's a blast from the past, used to love easyworld back in the day.
Give him a shot again, I don't know much about Easyworld but he's done some good stuff since they split up.
