I have a parcel to send and Royal Mail/Parcel Force are very pricey. Hermes get recommended up here but are they good everywhere? A quick forum search suggests possibly not. In this instance it will be a postage tube (large) and the contents will be sold on e-bay so could possible go international.

Thanks for any recommendations.

I've just seen this. Probably will be good but might not be. Any other recommendations for a private citizen?

I've used Yodel a few times recently for stuff sold on Ebay, all worked out fine and cheapish.

Send It Now this is Royal Mail but cheaper going through this site.

I have used them a lot with no problems.

Domestic only though.

Parcel 2 Go lets you compare costs from numerous different companies. I have used this quite a lot as well.

I also used parcel2go recently for selling a few bike bits. No complaints, all went well.

CollectPlus are pretty cheap, you can drop it off at a local shop. Though max size of 60x50x50cm. Its delivered by Yodel.

We now use APC for a collection and delivery services.

TNT and Yodel aren't great

There was a PSA on here a couple of days ago which might help.

Get £10 off your first order with http://www.parcel2go.com/ using code FIRSTFREE.

I sent an item next day via TNT, £50 insurance included, for £1.70. 8)

i have used most in the past and i can assure you Yodel are probably the worst I've ever seen , beyond belief ( left a bike frame in the street by my front door and made up a delivery signature ) . How they are still around amazes me. i think even for a few pounds more Parcel force are worth it, I've sent frames all over europe and never once had a problem. i think of the extra cash as a little peace of mind but I'm sure people have had poor experience with them its just i haven't .
