He's just been round to fix my tap. In fact he's done our guttering and some glazing in the past and the name has seemed familiar. He let on when he saw my Park Tools bog roll holder this afternoon.
Lovely bloke. If you are around Stone, Staffs, I recommend him for all sorts of jobs. S D Renovations.
Are we talking about the cx rider? We went to the same school in Caterham Surrey. I worked with his dad for a bit - he was a right character. Nice family.
That's him.
cx and mtb rider from Gould, Baker, Salmon era. was a good rider.
Didn't he end up in a coma after a bike crash? Good to hear he's working fit again.
I once shared a bed with him.
It was a sleepover when we were kids though! His dog had white poo.
Strange this, together with the classic rally car thread. My father competed in rallies against Steve' s dad Terry back in the 80's and 90's. They ran the mighty Lada Riva and entered the RAC rally a few times. On one occasion we were next in line in scrutineering to Juha Kankkunen in the Toyota Celica GT4, had a long chat with him, nice bloke.
I remember Steve Douce. Good rider.
I remember him,Baker and Clarke lapping me a lot at CX tracks in the South East.
They were so smooth, passing at road race speed.
