I have a Fox T2, and really like it. If I go with a certain super fast broadband provider, and get a youview + box, will the box be as good?
Cheers
Had an old SD Humax for years then got a HD version with 500GB and 5 tuners. Tried a different make inbetween took it back the next day and got the HD Humax. Nothing comes close. It just works easily and is very intuitive. My father in law has the you view box looks cheap but does the basics if he could figure out how to use it. We are for ever setting it up for him!
Youview plus is a humax though, as far as I can see, the only differences are half the storage - 1Tb just now, going to 500Gb, and I can't record 2 channels whilst watching another like I can now.
Loads of unused/boxed/new BT-branded Humax YouView boxes on fleabay that people get as part of a BT bundle. They typically go for £100 and on a non-BT broadband connection you'd not know it was a BT device other than the logo on the remote. All the broadcast, internet and recorded telly works brilliantly and it's more or less the same high quality GUI and software as you'd get on a native Humax.
