My two battery packs are somewhere between 8 - 12 years old and are not holding charge like they used to. In fact they are both below 2 hours with the lights on their basic setting. I bought them off someone on here al that time ago and was wondering if there was anyone around now who I can buy new ones from.

I can't find a picture of the packs but they are basically 4 of these wired up, wrapped in rubber with a bit of wire that push and screw connects to the wire coming out the back of the light unit.

Hope that makes enough sense to someone who makes batteries to know if they make them. What is the cost for a battery pack like that with the max life length you can do please?

PM me if you prefer

Funny you should mention 18650 Li-Ion batteries.
My old Lezyne Power Drive front light just died (got it about 2014) and would no longer turn on...so I now have 3 of these batteries of a similar age and no light to put them in.

Did an Internet search this morning for front lights that still use them, but couldn't find any...so am going to try them out in a Fenix PD35 torch (which seems to take the same battery).

Also found this article warning of the dangers of loose 18650 batteries without a protection circuit which is interesting reading and something to be aware of.

Smudge is the guy. I think I bought the first set from him before he was MTBBatteries and the second set only a year or so later. Not sure how old that makes them but the certainly have lasted well and I would totally recommend them.

I will send details and the request on Monday. I might actually get one small set to stick in the back pack and then a big lump in a water bottle so I don't carry the weight.
