Has anyone watched this?
Not sure if it’s the Ossian beer or the fact the rest of the family are watching Celebs go dating. Just binged 3 episodes and it’s completely sh*t but at the same time moreish.
On Netflix. Has a couple of the in betweeners in it and wasted a few hours for me.
Maybe time for bed!
Quality. Our riding mate used to sell windows so I often refer to it as a documentary.
Had a mate in the early eightys got a job with Everest had a company Cavalier and was making 200 quid a week at 17 (that's a 400 pints of beer income a week in 1980)
Lets just say he ended up in a bit of a mess... but lordy the local pubs, nightclubs and drug dealers made some serious cash.
Still he is out of prison now.
I enjoyed watching both series.
Parents bought a conservatory in the late 80's and had the pressure sales tactics to purchase one. He wanted to pay for it outright, but they really laid it on thick to get him to do it on finance, to the point they wouldnt sell him one unless he did so. That was the first and only time i ever saw my father get violent with someone just to get them out of the house .
After an apology from the company managing director he did get one in the end. It leaked after 3 months so he made them come take it down and put ut back up again. Not had any issues since.
As an aside , i know the production designer on the series. Interesting stories about buying various cars from the era , and spending time on the boat from the second series
First series was ace, second slightly too much about the main character. The boss was my favourite...
