Since we are talking mens health today, does anyone have any experience of hemataspermia/haemaspermia? Quite possibly in relationship to cycling?
Back story. About 6 weeks back I realised I was ejaculating blood. Straight to the docs. PSA, rectal prostate examination and ultrasound scan on the boys within a week. All good and nothing obvious to worry about. After a week or so of bad weather and no cycling I did notice reduced blood content and thought maybe it had just been an infection or broken blood vessel. However, since then I have been riding a lot more (3 times a week) and on the odd occaision I take it upon myself to check! I note with some dismay that the blood has returned.
I do have a pending appointment with a urologist, but I am on a waiting list and the GP didn't think I was a high risk patient after initial findings, so no idea when it may be.
Is it worth pushing to be seen sooner on the basis of ongoing issues, or is this something a 57 year old cylcist can expect and the obvous answer would be to give up w**king and sex!
I would be very happy to hear that I am not the only one to have suffered this.

I can confirm you are not the only person to have suffered this. I cannot confirm any correlation with cycling, but the urologist asked a lot of questions about trauma - so it seems entirely possible. (Mine didn't last long - by the time I say the Urologist a week or two after the GP it had gone).
Ooh dear, intersting to know the medical term -I’d imagine you had some interesting returns on your google search
Watching this thread with interest. I’ve had that too. Scary isn’t it. Just the once for me so far.
Seminal fluid is from the prostate I believe (Or is it the seminal vesicles next door - good old Wikipedia) rather than, this weeks favourite, the testicles, which provide the soermatazoa.
Me too, albeit only in my early 30's. Got the big 'C' ruled out pretty early on. Took a while to get back to normal (maybe 8 weeks or so?) but no occurrences since. Pretty awful experience that was! Again, hadn't linked it to riding (have spent years riding much more than I am nowadays), could only conclude that it was when the dog trod on my nuts...
Oh, and
the obvous answer would be to give up w**king and sex
Hell no, the obvious answer (for me) was back to condoms for a while!

Clinical advice was that "flushing it out" would probably do more good than harm!
The saddle does impact (no pun intended) that area significantly. Some seem to get away with many hours of sitting. Me if I sit more than about 20 mins on a ride up up to pee far more than my “normal” of maybe 3x a night.
yeah, age is great but not in every way.
Had this once as a younger man due to trauma (over the bars and someone managed to intercept a tree with my crotch? bit hazy to be fair). Went away after a week or taking it very very easy!
Me too.
Being silly I decided to do nothing about it.
It's gone away now , probably related to reduced time on the bike.
If you every have to have the harpoon gun saying hello with your knees up near your chest and the friendly nurse chatting away asking how you're doing and any holiday plans then the Dr starts shooting for the biopsy
The side effects are rose coloured spunk for a few weeks
the harpoon gun
Mine felt more like a staple gun. A very large industrial size staple gun.
