Considering ibiza / mallorca for me and our mates + our two sets of young kids for the summer holidays. Lots of sandy beaches + no rain appeals after last years british washout. Where is the best place to find self catering places - air bnb? hotels.com? booking.com?

Also, having never done it, do you get charged for taking a buggy on the plane? Likewise car seats? Can you hire car seats? Car seats and buggies seem the biggest logistical PITA for young kids (two sets of a 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old) - i'm assuming if the kid has a seat it gets it's own luggage allowance?

Kid seats and prams go free (or they did last time I travelled with them). Don't hire a car seat, you have no idea what might have happened to it.

Did Villa plus last year, the villa was lovely.

Using TUI this year.

Both super easy, villa plus included transfers, TUI includes a hire car and airport parking at MCR. Did a bit of rooting around and it was in no way worth booking it all individually.

we went with Tui last summer for a villa in Mallorca, included car hire and BA flights, all good 👍

Just booked with BA for a 4 month old in April. She is booked onto our lap (so no seat of her own) but gets a 22kg suitcase and buggy and car seat or travel cot all included in her ticket.

Not sure what the age/size/ practicality limit is on infants on your lap vs own seat?

Cost £55 return (mostly taxes I think) adult seat tickets on the flight were £200+
