I'm going camping in a few weeks and sm looking for a new / bigger capacity battery bank.
I currently have a nice slim 5000mah one for bike packing.
But I now need one that can charge 2 phones at once and has a bigger capacity, weight is not an issue as we will have the car.
Any recommendations?
I'm a big fan of the Anker range - choose the one that's the right size.
I bought a Blackweb 10000mah one from Asda for about £20. It has 2 USB out ports and has been well used. I charge phones and cameras. Has a readout of % battery charge left.
No complaints. Does exactly what it says on the tin
Related, what sort of capacity would I need to keep a Garmin and phone going for 24 hours, say?
I've got Anker and RavPower powerbanks, both are fine and do what they say. Why one that will charge two phones at once? Why not get two, if one breaks you've still got another to charge from.
I was going to suggest reduce phone usage but I suspect the answer is "teenage daughter(s)"!
@dorset_knob - I can keep a Garmin Oregon going for four days from a 10,000mAh powerbank. That's 16hrs+ usage per day. Phone - I'll have it on airplane mode most of the time, only turning that off if I need to make a call.
I just got the Anker PowerCore 13000 C which seems to be pretty good. Input is USB C, 2 x USB A outputs. Pocket sized, but with a good capacity.

Another for Anker - about 15000mah will charge a smart phone on 'fast charge' and will do around 4 charges.
Did have an anker one, that started loosing it charge, but it had a few years of heavy use, would buy again.
I replaced it with an energizer one (as in energizer batteries)as I needed one quick, seems fine, but basic, no fast charge or other fancy features.
Another vote for Anker, been using a couple of them for a few years now, I had a Griffin one but that didn’t last 12 months and didn’t seem to charge as well as equivalently rated Anker ones.
+n for Anker. Good kit. PortaPow is good also IME.

I just got myself one of these to run off my Makita batteries.
That Makita adapter is pretty cool, useful no doubt if you get caught short on the building site or whatever, shame it costs the same or more than a normal complete power bank unit though 😂 I'd imagine you'd get quite a few charges out of it though 😃
Got one of these about 6 weeks ago. 25000mah, charged my phone fully about 3 times and still had over 50% capacity left.

It does weight a lot, but will be fine in the car. Also, amke sure it's fully charged from the mains before you go - it'll take forever to charge that capacity from a car!
Now that makita adapter is clever! And what do you know, Einhell make one that'll fit my drill/hedge trimmer batteries.

I've got the older version (with only one IQ port). It will happily charge an iphone, Garmin 520 and apple watch for a long weekend away.
We've got three of these in our household - great value and last ages. Can't recall draining one yet...
+1 Anker. Got a 20000 and had just got another for Ard Rock just in case it wasn't going to last Thur to Monday, but oh well. Still, will come in useful again.
I use a fast charge dongle on phones as I've had some that were a bit fussy without and kept insisting it was on slow speed. The dongle things just cut the data wires effectively so the phone thinks it's plugged into a mains adapter and can pull full power. The chargers should do the same but one phone objected without it.
