my stepson works split shifts and it's costing a bomb in petrol to run him to and from work plus he finishes at stupid times of the night,so he needs a moped,I haven't got a clue about them so would like some help, basically what am I looking for,are they all the same, want to pay about £450 tops, what will I get for that and where is the best place to find one?
Something like an FS1E would be a good start

and cost a king's randsome
I'd go witha scooter over a mpoed - better weather protection and some of them have under seat storage. Peugeot and Aprilia are makes to look at and anything by Honda is usually reliable.
You can get a new Pulse Scooter for about a grand, you'll get 3 years out if it and +100mpg.
Or if you live in/near the Scottish Borders I've a used one that needs a bit of work for a third of that.
