Yeah, but it is relative at best.

My wife's godfather owned a lingerie shop. He could correctly size a bra just by looking at a woman. It was a pretty amazing party trick, to be fair.

Tree planter if you can plant enough in a day over the season to reach your £22k target.

However not all planting I see I would consider the right thing, just chasing planting targets, carbon credits and outdated practices.

Would charity trustee suit your skills?

https://dendra.io/ - this is a pretty interesting startup that are using drones to reseed rainforest. Based in Oxford; worth keeping an eye on

Nice job here for any outdoorsy types who like wandering around forests. May help if you have a background in civils/construction. Role is based in the SE.

That looks like a great job... But civils + supervisor that's a hideously low pay grade!

100% agree, the pay for that role is not what it should be - but the work environment would be great.

marketing department... for a university... at least I’m not trying to persuade people to buy more pointless plastic tat

This made me laugh. Selling massive debt for worthless degrees is hardly any different.

Best job I had was in a charity helping old ladies get to day clubs. Highlight was them inviting me to lunch of pie and mash. Lovely.

I work in Design Services at my local district council - I'm an architectural technologist working on mostly social housing. I love it as I'm doing something good for the people of the district and my work isn't simply lining someone else's pocket as in private practice.

And perhaps back to theirs for pudding.

It's not something that one can drop into easily as it requires a relevant degree and years of experience, but nuclear decommissioning as a mechanical engineer does feel very much like it is for the greater good. The more I find out about the utter horror show that exists in west Cumbria, the more important and vital it feels that we do whatever we can to fix it. And hopefully make things easier for the poor sods who have to put on the rubber suits and breathing apparatus and dose-meters to go and clean up the results of 50 years of bad decisions.

Healthcare! The answer is healthcare. Why aren't more people saying this lol

It would mean a period of retraining - 3 year degree would get you into most roles, all of which would which offer >£22,000. Or a longer degree if you fancy a go at psychology, pharmacy, medic etc

Emergency call taker? Could work for any of the 3 emergency services. I'm a supervisor and find it extremely rewarding.

Well you could work for us. We have taken on the garden at Craigievar castle in the North East of Scotland and will be using it as an example of the possibilities of native planting and poly culture to enhance any garden big or small. This role is not only an ecological and educational role - our organisation’s focus is on supporting individuals with learning disabilities. Can you get more morally rewarding then working with people to promote sustainability for society and the planet? 😁😅
