My CX300 IIs died at Christmas so I have replaced them with new ones.

First off I got a pair of the Radiopak custom rock tuned ones which were very good indeed. They belted out a decent amount of bass and had very good sound quality. However they died after 2 weeks.

I replaced those with a set of Klipsch Image S4 headphones which are amazingly comfortable and produce excellent sound quality. They also come with a metal carrying case. Well worth a look.

Trying to avoid self promotion of my business due to forum rules but noticed your post and couldn't resist helping - I use the Sennheiser OMX95 which I love, I sell them on my website which is under my profile. Happy to offer you a discount.

MODS - not sure if I breached any rules, if so please remove my post - thanks

If you want mahoosive bass and are an electronic music fan I can heartily recommend Future Sonics Atrio earphones. Not cheap but BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

Highs and mids are pretty good too if a little recessed...

Fatman iPod valve dock

2nd that - awesome sounding bit of kit, sounds less harsh than most, as mp3's tend to (it's cos of the valves they say) looks cool. Payed 225 for mine, inc speakers!

Phones - anything by grado they are all good! loads of online sellers here in blighty, but a bit cheaper from the states (just).

Ultimate Ears MetroFi 4 or 5, or the SuperFi's if you can find them cheap. Certainly the best overall sound quality and comfort. I've had the Sennheisers, Denon AH-C252's, Etymotic ER6i's with custom eartips, and the UE's are without doubt the best sounding phones I've ever used. My MetroFi's are the V model with a mic for iPhone use, and I got them from the Apple Store in Bristol for around £45, but you may find the next model up with no mic for around the same. They cut out a lot of background, too.
