I've sold a strimmer on ebay and it has a Ni-Cd battery. Which courier is least likely to get silly about carrying it?

I've tried looking on websites but they are all talking about lead acid or lithium batteries, neither of which this is.

Ni cads aren't a problem. Li ion are a fire risk and lead acid are a leakage risk but nicad and nimh are neither of those things.

Nicads aren't the same risk as the others but lots of couriers still have restrictions on them

macruiskeen - that was my understanding too but the situation is the courier websites say "no batteries" then justify with a reference either to leakage from lead acid batteries or to exploding Li-ion

anyone able to suggest a courier who don't have a blanket ban on batteries?

I had the same issue returning a duff battery to Amazon. In the end they got DPD to collect so might be worth checking them
