Just out of interest, who else hasn't had any of this weather!?

The news paints a pretty bleak picture, yet here in Blackpool we had a few flakes the other day but that was it, no snow since, all roads clear, everything normal!

Brighton has got away fairly lightly, some snow early in the week but life carried on, Thursday and Friday saw some flurries but didn't really add up to much 🙁

One place I've head escaping, but cannot confirm, is Stoke. Apparently it had multiple warnings this week, but allegedly, nothing ever came of any of them.

I live in the north-west of West Yorkshire. High ground such as around Odsal, Shelf, Queensbury always gets it bad but down in the Aire & Wharfe valleys it’s not too bad, and yesterday had even started thawing.

i’m in Harrogate right now and all main roads, most minor roads are passable.

We had a minor annoyance on the road yesterday morning, but tbh all those that sacked work off because it’s snowing need a good long look at themselves.

Solent based.

John - not sure you have that quite right. You couldn’t get out of Baildon 2 mornings in a row, Harrogate Hospital has staff shortages.

We are going sledging today

My Mrs has been too-ing and fro-ing from the farm top of Boroughbridge to the top of Harrogate (near the water tower) in her Fiat 500.. admittedly Thursday was deep but she got through..

I managed to get out of Baildon all week.

Granted i’m not at the top of the village but Baildon Road, Station Road, Roundwood Road all passable.

i did say higher areas get it bad

Thursday evening/Friday morning in Devon everything completely shut down.. Serious disruption, medical emergencies, wartime spirit and full community cooperation. 8-12" of snow at sea level drifting to 3 metres on the moors. Freezing rain and total ice cover. This morning on the coast all snow/ice is gone and everything back to normal.

Hardly any snow in Inverness area. Just a rather cold wind, maybe a few patches of ice on the roads.

South West London has been pretty much business as usual, although the tube has been a bit busier.

Swansea to Carmarthen is pretty much snow free I’m told. Brechfa is bone dry (cold though).

Merseyside area clear, had the occasional flurry of snow but sod all really.

I'm on the Wirral and if you collected all the snow scattered in our garden you would be hard pressed to make a snowball.

Nothing in Fort William, it's had a few goes at snowing but nothing has come of it, beautifully dry hard ground though 🙂

This part of Germany has been snow free (I was boarding in Garmisch-Partenkirchen last week and they had 2 meters of the stuff). But it’s been properly cold. All the rivers round here have frozen as well as some of the lakes and there were loads of people ice skating today on the main river in the city. It also means that the trails are bone dry though.

@Rotor - we were in Garmisch this time last year and it was skiing in t-shirts in the  afternoon on the lower slopes (bit of a slush-fest though)

Well, I think we've had the least snow of anywhere (and it's pretty much nearly all gone), but were still affected. My brother works in Southampton and it took him 2.5hrs to do a 45 min journey; my work was closed Thurs/ Fri as was my son's school. But we still drove to the curry house on Friday for a birthday meal. So, disrupted a bit, but nothing compared to most parts of the country.

About an inch here on the Ayrshire Riviera, always the same, we miss the worst of it, 10 miles inland it's mental. And they usually get more snow too. 😂

Driven back from St David's to Brecon Beacons and Carmarthenshire doesn't look like it's had anything but rain.

Very different this year. In fact last Sunday night on Zugspitze was the coldest ever recorded  in Germany . -28 degrees.
