Love that. It would be good if it showed speed too. Also if it had a filter to show freight trains.

Awesome! I live near a level crossing and I often wish there was an app to tell me if the gate is likely to be closed for a long time! 🙂

Update - just looked out of the bedroom window and the map is delayed about 30secs relative to the train 🙂

Traksy is similar but based on the signalling system

Dear fellow Singletrackers

Please stop posting links to interactive map sites, I'm easily distracted by such things and have things to do.

Love and kisses

@tractionman did you happen to add my local train line to that link, (Manchester to Chester Cheshire line) or did it work that out itself based on my location?

the map does seem to be able to locate, I'm not on the big island so it doesn't work for me, but for those in GB it should I think.

And if that gets boring then the bustimes.org website shows where all the busses are.

You can also just look for the bus number you are after as they always turn up in threes.

I'll try to remember and post a screenshot of the aivr train cab video feed.

I took can pretend to be a real life train driver. Give me an ELR, miles and chainage and I'll screenshot it.

LNW and SCO only.

"When the train is stationary the arrow points north"

That's not very helpful on all the North/South lines. Why don't they just take the arrow away if it's not moving?

That's my only complaint though, I love an interactive map. Marine Traffic is on a quick link on my work computer as my office faces down Milford Haven and lots of interesting stuff moves around.
