What do you mean by refurbished? They are generally pretty sealed up. Plenty of used ones on eBay. I'm a bit down on Sony Xperia, mine failed after 3 months and Sony refused any warranty.
Lime tropic on ebay provided me with an as new s4 at a great price really quickly.

Lots of sellers on ebay who refurbish and have stores will give you a 12 month warranty too
most phones sold as refurbished are in fact not refurbished at all, they are just used. O2 refresh sell refurbished so do argos, these are as new
I had numerous screen cracks on an xperia most of these occurred when it was not in my pocket and had not been touched so I gave up on them. SHame as I liked it but the screen is pish - never even damaged another phone screen and broke 4 of those in about 18 months.
One of those was an argos refurbish job and they said i did it dropping it.
