You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Apart from Autotrader and eBay.
Looking for a 3 series tourer (e91) or maybe an A4 Avant. 09 onwards.
I know something will be out there other than what's on eBay and the trader, but where?
On here. Just about every car post someone will have something suitable they are selling.
Pistonheads is worth a look.
iam about to sell my 320i its a 06 tho
Piston heads added to my rounds, ta.
Eddie- I'd prefer a LCI but you can email me details if you like.
etc.
Worth looking at the auction sites, there's some interesting stuff goes through, lots are ex- lease cars, and if you register you can get to go and check out the cars before you buy. There will be a lot of dealers/traders there, looking to buy as cheap as possible, because they want to make a profit selling on, the prices tend to be lower than book.
BCA, who I work for, have single make auctions every so often, VAG and BMW ones pop up every so often.
Blackbushe and Bridgewater are the two main sites in the South, but there are others, like Aston Barclay and Manheim
Last couple of times I've been to Blackbushe, stuff was selling at prices near enough the same as on Autotrader, but without the opportunity to test drive !
A lot of it was really tatty too.
+1 for auctions.
Bought my last 2 cars from BCA. No problems.
Pistonheads definitely has the best search refinement and more choice for interesting/sports/prestige stuff.
Going to advertise our 2010 Audi A6 avant. 2.0L S line Le Mans 170 next week. If interested? Near mint condition. 98k and going in for service and cam belt on Monday ready for sale.
Thanks for the offer but the A6 is a little bigger than I'm looking for, GLWTS though.
I'll keep auctions in mind too, not getting a test drive does sit a bit funny with me though.
Think my nearest is Preston from what I can tell.
A few local garages offer to find vehicles, it's an option if I get tired of looking.
gumtree
motors.co.uk
rac site.
harder if looking for a specific model but some main dealers have odd models that are trade ins that I assume they've thought able to make more on bykeeping on their books rather than sending to auction or selling to their second hand dealer mates and sometimes the price reflects that it isn't really their line of business and it needs moving on
make a list of local main dealers and have a look at their used sections and see if they have a handful of "odd" makes then keep an eye on those that do to see what comes up
I used car guru for my last car and found the site useful as it gave an indication on value.
Molgrips? 😉
