Been to France a few times and stayed in a gite (cottage). One near Paris to go to Eurodisney and the other in Normandy beside my family.

Loads of things to do, beaches in Normandy, rivers, forests etc and the weather was brilliant 25-30 degrees. I recall an amazing Zoo in Normandy too.

Invest in a Euro TomTom, as getting lost around Paris for 4 hours the first time with 3 kids wasn't funny!

http://www.duinrell.com/holidaypark/duingalows/package-deals/out-about

Cheap as chips, loads to do on site, theme park, swimming pools and slides, woodland, sand dunes, beaches etc plenty of easy cycling, they hire bikes with child seats or trailers etc
Nice little town on doorstep with a few restaurants/pancake houses
Leiden, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague for day trips by train or car
Only 45mins drive from Europort/Rotterdam, 3hrs from Calais/Dumkirk

We went last year just booked to go back our 2 year old loved it hasn't stopped asking when we are going back to 'Froggy place' for the last 4 months, she will be 3 this time and able ro go on more of the rides etc

It may not be hot as south of France or Spain etc but it's a lot cheaper and easier to get to
Last year we did 5 days in UK at Centreparcs and 7 days in Holland, even with overnight ferry from Hull Holland was 2/3rds price of UK holiday

We went to Duinrell in October half term and it is fantastic for young kids, very old school!

I drove Dover - Calais but if i went again I would do Hull - Hook of Holland.

Pembrokeshire. 🙂

It's in Europe, should be warm, plenty of cottages to rent and miles upon miles of beaches (from busy at Tenby to empty at the Havens).

Your criteria are a bit narrow. Try broadening your search for more options.

Restless, we where probably there the same week then
We went out Hull-Hook but came back Dunkirk-Dover, the drive was okay and broken up with 3 hours in Bruge
Probably going Harwich-Rotrerdam this year as Hull is too pricey for 5 of us (need 2 cabins)

England and Wales normally start for last week in July and go back the second week in Sept, in France it's usually all July and August, avoid driving on the first and last weekends in August

The weekends to avoid in France are the chassé-croisé when one school zone leaves and another returns. We're zone C, the worst. 😐

In Summer it's not as bad as it used to be and harder to predict. Bison Futé is worth consulting

Here's something a bit different.

Sweden - the coastline north of Malmo is beautiful, some of the nicest, cleanest, child-friendly beaches I've ever been on. Lots of excellent campsites and other places to stay. Nice towns with summer festivals. English spoken well everywhere. Shouldn't be too hot.

Not packed to the rafters with 'Brits abroad'.

Couple it with a few days jaunt over into Denmark for Legoland and Lalandia Waterpark - which is superb for kids.
