Cue the GIF from American Psycho!!

Anyway... Wifey’s having a business rebrand, and is looking for some top notch business card printers...
We want to have a look at a few different samples before ordering a full batch (i.e. plain print... ‘thingy thicker’ print on the main text... etc)

Those on here into the business card scene, can you suggest good companies please?

Online, or South Coast of England...

Ta

I do have some local companies but the best online quality I have ever used is goodprint who now seem to be printed.com

They were fantastic. Maybe it's just a new URL.

Small family run business in Bournemouth: http://www.theprintagency.com

Its actually the wife's cousin's family so I do have a slight connection but the cards we've had from them have been excellent and they give good personal service. Huge range of options.

Whoever is doing the rebranding should be able to knock her up some business cards and work with any half decent local printer to create the results/effects you desire.

What Jimjam said. Nip in to your local printers who’ll have different stocks etc for you to have a look at, and have a chat with them.

Online places can be a bit hit and miss

They're handy for entering competitions at conventions

I'm with km on this. Seems people are happy to enter details straight in their phones. IMO, if they can't be bothered entering your details when you meet them, it's unlikely the 'contact' will come to much. I appreciate different sectors / networking might work in different ways though.

It was a cynical rhetoric question, TBH!

Business cards are rife in her industry (NOT to put in phoneboxes!!) - aesthetics ...

They are nice to hand out to potential clients, or for clients to keep and hand out.. and for giving to reps at conventions etc..

Binners recommended a local print place a while back, that's the kind of place I'd be going. Online suppliers are great on price but the quality can be a bit hit and miss.
