what counts as 'astronomical'?

One area where I've found spending money helps is on leather jackets. Cheap ones just make you look like an East European gangster.

...whereas more expensive ones make you look like a more prosperous East European gangster.

well, there is that.

I'd only ever wear something like this for leather, and not for work;

Used to be round Brick Lane, all the little sweat shops. Don't think there's many left now though. They used to do stuff that sold for hundreds up West, but bought locally would cost you a fraction. All manner of styles, top quality gear too, most of it.

I've got a beautiful genuine early 70's box jacket somewhere; one day I will have it remade. Belonged to a friend of me dad's who worked in one of the factories. You'd see Bangladeshi blokes, proper dirt poor living several in one small flat, on a real pittance, but they'd be kitted out in the most fabulous latest fashions. 😀

What are you wearing it with, to work? A suit? Are you mental? Smart leather jacket - the whole idea sounds rank.

However, to answer the question, get yourself to a vintage shop. £20 - £50 and it'll already look worn in, and you'll look less of a tosser 😉

Blackbushe market - they also sell the wolf fleeces

If you google stylish leather jacket you get

Are you absolutely sure?

If that's work attire, what will you wear after work? Double Denim?
