Apparently I need a klarius cn678v to fit my pug expert tepee that used to have a ramp in the back.
I'm clueless about this!

Only supplier is looking at stuff £280 plus fitting, is this reasonable?

Where else could I go?

Any other solutions?

Current back box has rotted through the mount and has a hole, metal it's paper thin so welding not an option.

No one needs a klarius anything . Poorly made pattern junk mad7e from.monkey metal.*

Iirc you were warned these were hard to find and expensive when you bought it.

If the vans in good shape I'd be looking for a custom stainless job - probably won't cost you considerably more but outlast the rest of the van.

Youll be fitting a klarius every 2-3 years in my experiance.*

* Edit based on the klarius stuff that the local factors and ecp sell ...I see they do custom stuff as well....

This. Custom exhaust will solve the problem for not much more. Got a Klarius backbox on oh's Astra. It was £50 and that's about what it's worth judging by the speed of rot.

Maybe but can't remember that, maybe you have less going on to remember such minutiae 🤷🏻

Anyway back to the question? Do you know where I can get one/any other options?

The custom option may work well 👍 how do I find out what the old one is that has lasted a long time (80k miles)

It doesn't matter, proper stainless is much a muchness. TBF 80k is no age on an exhaust, mine is 14 years and 162k old and only has a small crack on the end of the flexi.

Feel like I should not be giving the useful information for the attitude but.....

Look for an exhaust for a Peugeot expert e7

That's the taxi version of your car they had ramps in the back. A quick Google shows they are considerably cheaper

See if you can make that work

Yep exhaust on my 944 is over 30 years old and aside from someone knocking the catalyst through its fine. Obviously different end of the market.

OE boxes I had on french cars always lasted north of 100k and 8-10 years

Klarius replacements you could get locally lasted their worth(cheap- 45quid vs 300 for oe)....about 2-3 years before rotting out. You could tell when you removed the old to find the new that the new was much much lighter than even the rotten original.

I had to replace the exhaust on my Berlingo recently. My garage, usually reliable, told me their searches were turning up ridiculous prices, and recommended I try eBay. Long story short (I spent way too much time looking at exhaust catalogues when I could have been out riding) it turned out all the databases were listing the wrong parts for my engine (1.6 petrol).

To get to the point though, eventually I worked out what I needed from the part drawings and what was on the car, and bought the individual sections off eBay. At least some of them were Klarius, and I think they were from their own distributor, just via eBay.

Didn't realise they had such a bad rep. They were the only supplier available though. Someone suggested getting a custom one made up, but I didn't really have any more time to waste, and I suspect it'll outlast the car.

Klarius is okay as long as you give it a good coating of zinc rich epoxy before fitting.

Another vote for finding your local exhaust guy and getting what you need made. I needed cat back for my old Mondeo and my local place was cheaper to make a new one than either genuine or pattern equivalents
