Got a weekend in Betws-y-Coed for a birthday treat.

Last time we were n Betws-y-Coed we had a gorgeous meal in the Bistro. The Bistro is no more and is now an Indian Restaurant.

Obviously we both love a curry but would like something different.

Is there anywhere else that you would recommend for food that is/was like the Bistro?

I should imagine we will also be having a curry at some point.

Not a fan of the pizza place, service was always a bit rubbish. Gutted about the Bistro, that was always one of my favourite places.
Grill Room does pretty good fish and chips. For pub food, I've always enjoyed the Pont-Y-Pair. Olif was always nice as well, had a nice valentines dinner in there a few years ago.
For something more formal (not formal, but not pub food), then there is the Bridge restaurant in the Waterloo Hotel, nice lounge as well for afterwards.

Hangin Pizza is ace. Who doesn't want to eat pizza surrounded by huge pictures of Orangutans?

Have only been to the pizza place once, and that was enough 😉 Service was dreadful that time. We ended up going to the Royal Oak hotel for dinner when Hangin' Pizza completely failed to get us any food. The Stables Restaurant at the Royal Oak was surprisingly good.

we will be visiting Hangin' Pizza, no doubt about that (as we're staying in the Alpine Apartments just above it).

Just looking for something a little more formal, for a nice birthday meal.

Have been looking at the Royal Oak and Olif's.

Decisions decisions......

Last time I stayed there for a weekend it was mixed grill at the Stables & Chinese at the Dragon.

Both superb.
