I'm meeting up with some old school mates for a (non-biking except for getting there) boozy night in Bakewell on saturday. Staying in a hotel in town. Where's good for beer and food? Obviously I'm hoping to munch on a tart at some point 😉

It'll be a pudding you want, not a tart 😉

There's only a handful of pubs so your won't go far wrong trying all of them. Never eaten in Bakewell actually despite living 4 miles away

I have eaten there. Remember a mediocre curry house and ok pub grub.... was a couple or three years back though.

The post ride and evening boozing went well. We tried most of the pubs and they were all ok. Even found some live music on the Sat night.

so had a late lunch in the pudding shop, although didn't have the pudding. Derbshire Rarebit was good.
Ended up in the Peacock later, surf and turf was very nice, but after several pints what combination of meat and fried food isn't?
