Hello everyone! Bit of a first world problem and any advice gratefully received!

My wife and I are looking to go out to vancouver next February for a week of skiing with friends who are moving out this year. We've been a bit shocked though at the airplane prices, looking at about £700 per person return.

We're trying to book asap as soon as tickets released to get in before prices go up, anyone got any tips for how to get discounts out of Air Canada? Any cunning thoughts or websites other than Skyscanner that you've used with great success? Sadly we're set on dates due to it needing to fit Half term, which doesn't help.

700 isn't bad at current fuel surcharge rates.

Canadian Affair is the lower cost option, but they're likely 600 for that journey from Gatwick.

I'd strongly consider paying an extra 100 quid to be sat on a BA or Air Canada plane.. but thats me.

Indirect flights.. via Amsterdam, Frankfurt etc are a real pain. Avoid unless you are saving hundreds!
