Can anyone recommend any sites or eBay sellers for buying used vinyl from, just fancy tracking down the odd 12" or LP but would rather pay a bit more to get something that's accurately described and clean.

Juno and buy new, I find their prices very reasonable and haven't jumped on the "25 quid for a new pressing of a Biffy Clyro album" that HMV has jumped all over

Seconded for Discogs. Better prices, generally better grading, overall a much better chance of getting what you want in the condition you want it in. Ebay is full of chancers who would describe a record that's been trampled on by elephants as NM or VGC.

Try EIL.com but be warned once on their site it is rammed difficult to leave.

Knowledgeable guys and some real rarities especially in the 12" singles.

If you prefer the real thing , " Static Records " in Wigan is owned by my mate Paul.
Hallgate Wigan.
Look em up.
All kinds of related ephemera , too.

what i've found interesting, and thanks for the links, that on the discs i'm looking for (the list seems to be expanding) these sites are cheaper than what i've seen on ebay for the same.

Interesting end to this post, I did a bit of a Google search and found a place in Newquay, retro sounds records, who sells only used vinyl and at good prices. I had forgotten long ago how wonderful it is to flip through shelves of discs with no real plan, be guided by what's in stock, and blessed a few spare quid in your pocket to spend. Great shop, worth a visit if you are down this way.

I bought secondhand records in the 70's from a place in Portmadog, I was always happy with them.
